The Mysterious Envelope
It was the first day of school after the holidays. I sat at my desk where I found an envelope with my name on it. Inside the envelope was a small, shiny key and a piece of crumpled paper with a riddle.
My heart skipped a beat. I was intrigued. The riddle read: “I am a place filled with knowledge and tales, where words come alive and imaginations sail." Instantly, I knew it referred to the school library.
I rushed to the library with excitement bubbling within me. As I arrived, I noticed a locked box on the librarian’s desk. The key fit perfectly. Inside the box was a brand – new book, a best – seller I’d been longing to read.
I felt overjoyed. This mysterious envelope had led me to a wonderful surprise. It was a thrilling start to the new term, and I realized that sometimes, unexpected things can bring great delight.
